Cold Turkey, Flying

Just when I thought 'enough with the turkeys....'
A new opportunity. Into an upper crawl space,
overhead, thru a screen, above the last few leaving.
As they took to wing below, out & over a small marsh.

And slightly deep snow...almost tough for a turkey.

Winter woods

Alone. Following the path, sort of.
Icy streams. Slip. Fall. Covered in snow.
Meet some one. "Did you see the coyote??"
he says. "It was a big one. Almost cougar-like.
This time I'm carrying my gun."
Concealed, I see. Time to continue my journey.
In the opposite direction.

Snowmobiling.....lake running

Fun on the frozen lake.
A bit bouncy, but that's part of the enjoyment.
Fast speed and slippery ice.
It takes a litlle skill and a steady throttle.
Coming right at us, but actually quite far away.

Oh, and be sure to let the kid drive too.

Feb 9th - Ice Boats 2

More winter fun. Bright sun and lake ice.
The breeze is on & off, strong then gentler.
Still a few good runs. Fun on the ice.

Getting a bit crowded on the lake.
Crowded only on those really frozen parts.
Cold under foot. But still enjoyable.

This is Chapter Two.

Snowing on her

She seemed to be waiting for someone, at first.
Then she just seemed annoyed.
It wasn't me. It wasn't him.
And not the falling snow either.
Difficult to figure out.
But certainly palpable.

Ice boats

Winter, sunshine, and a frozen lake
Iceboating time.
Sure, you can sit on the lake and fish.
That's great fun too.
Heh, an icefishing movie?? Maybe later.
Now, sitting, fishing, watching this
action go by. Graceful, fast and
sometimes slow & funny too.
Quick and slick. Smooth.
