Weather predicting. The gulls know.
Why the duck? What duck?, you say.
Look closely, lounging near center.
Colder than expected? More snow
than anticipated? Certainly the duck
knows. Why won't she tell us?
And, the gulls on the rocks, an even number?
Or odd? On Monday, an even number means.....
Oh, the duck says, do not tell.
