indi(go bunting) returns

we thought 'indi' was finally
gone for the season
it's late july, and likely that last
clip earlier this week was it.
and we've seen only one,
no flock of blue
no indigo tag team
then late afternoon, today.
'indi' drops by again
getting our hopes up
(maybe here for whole the summer!!)

for a moment s/he paused.
blue and undecided.
a short turn, again another
empty feeders.
time to split
fine dining elsewhere

Fledgling......

Grackle growing up, slowly.
Tho a big bird, just doesn't yet get it.
Well, at least it's out of the nest.
Soon, it'll make the connection.

Time to fly, come with me...
enticing the youngsters
from the nest above...
but not yet, no one's ready
to take wing this morning ....
