Hesper for President?

By bridge 53, Hesper realized she was really running for President.
Ahh, blog power. Suddenly her name was in play, popping up in a
lot of places. There were bumper stickers, tattoo's, big signs on
the sides of buses and more & more people saying they'll vote for her.
Cool cat in the white house. This was snow-balling. Well actually
Snowball's another cat, still cool, but another cat.
Even the national news picked up Hesper's political move....

Senior year, and the wildcats seem to be getting old,
Another game on the court, the last game.

the birds of summer have gone.....

From this season's wildlife film collection at Camp Twin Pines
comes this short color essay - the red, white, blue and gold
birds of summer. The ones who have already left and
those who will soon be leaving. The catbird. She always
exits with a comment and applause in the background. Really.

OK, and a black & red bird was squeezed in too ---
the elusive scarlet tanager, who rarely 'sits' for a photo.
