She went for her second gold and won.
A little trouble with the flooring, yet
she pulled off a strong finish.
Now nearly everyone's vying to be her manager.

Olympic....

She didn't really like the water.
But the dive-board's height was a draw.
So high,so far to go. So quickly.
And the ride down. Just fun.
If they only gave medals.
But cats do this all the time.

View from (just north of) Bayonne.....

Even for an outsider, the view eventually calls
you away from downtown Bayonne, NJ.
You head north-ish, up & under the highway, thru
the parking lot amid the trees & green.
Find that four-story building with the top floor deck.
Lower Manhattan so near but still far away.
Like small mountains or hills in the distance.
Just poplated with lots of people
Time to find our boat. Sail out,
and say hello again to the Lady.

Sailing Home.....

Near day's end, few things as comforting
as sailing home to harbor. Boothbay Harbor, ME.
Of course, someone may be in your slip now,
wording a famous "...it was empty.....
we didn't think it belonged to anyone..."
Seems more of those people are about today.....
It's a feeling, like root beer......a cruel, cruel hoax.
Still, one gets over it. It's no big deal.
The time was fun, and there'll be more tomorrow.
