My reply, "What are you talking about?!",
just made her turn and stomp away,
in classic zombie fashion.

Blue Heron.....

Initially we just biked right past it.
Only out of the corner of her eye
Did she catch a glimmer of movement.
Surprisingly, the heron just stood there
Engrossed in it's hunt for dinner
With no care or concern at all
For the bikers on the carriage trail.
And no.... no dramatic fly-off
We were the ones that left
