The Toboggan Project ...part 4

Starting to feel like spring!
Snow falls only a few inches a day now.
Running winter's still fun.
Not too many people about.
Need to get to Grandma's house.
Easy flying. Traffic's light.

Winter Woodpecker

Winter's cold wouldn't stop this woodpecker.
Not an insect in visible sight this time of year,
But perhaps the tree still holds some mystery.
A wild bird's got to eat.
And it's bound to be right there,
Solo tap-tap's in between snow storms.

Before Valentine's Day....

Too much deep snow still on the ground,
More coming, along with ice & sleet.
Warmer weather? Too little, just brief blasts
that only change the snow to rain,
which turns back to ice when it hits any surface.
So we sent some of the staff 'underground'
to try & kick start things for the 14th.
